The Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the China Shanghai International Arts Festival. This agreement aims to enhance cultural cooperation and understanding between the United Arab Emirates and China, coinciding with the celebration of four decades of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

As reported by WAM, the MoU was signed by Huda Alkhamis, who is the Founder of ADMAF and the Abu Dhabi Festival, alongside Li Ming, the President of the China Shanghai International Arts Festival. The signing took place at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, with notable attendance from Zhang Yiming, the Ambassador of China to the UAE.
As part of this collaboration, the Abu Dhabi Festival and the China Shanghai International Arts Festival will engage in new commissions, co-productions, and various cultural exchange programs, marking a significant development in the Arab world.
Huda Alkhamis highlighted the importance of this partnership, stating that it represents a groundbreaking initiative with the China Shanghai International Arts Festival, which is recognized as the most influential festival in the Asia-Pacific region. She emphasized that this historic agreement underscores the pivotal role of the Abu Dhabi Festival on the global stage.
Alkhamis remarked that this expansion into Shanghai allows both nations to harness the transformative power of the arts, aiming to build bridges, celebrate creativity, and strengthen the bonds of friendship between the UAE and China.
