Burjeel Reports 97% Surge in H1 Profit Boosted by Patient Growth

Burjeel Holdings has announced a remarkable 97% increase in its first-half profit, reaching Dh227 million, primarily driven by a significant rise in patient volumes.

The company’s revenue also saw a healthy increase of 4.4%, totaling Dh2.8 billion, as patient visits surged to an impressive 3.7 million. This growth is indicative of Burjeel’s strengthening position in the healthcare sector as it adapts to rising demand.

The 24.6% growth in adjusted EBITDA underlines the operational efficiency Burjeel has achieved, enabling the company to maintain profitability even amid increasing operational costs that have challenged many providers in the region. This improvement reflects strategic investments in facilities and technology, enhancing the patient’s experience and outcomes.

Burjeel’s growth trajectory highlights a broader trend in the UAE healthcare market, which has been steadily expanding due to the increasing population and greater awareness of health and wellness. Other healthcare providers in the region, such as the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), are also ramping up their services to keep pace with this growing demand, making the competitive landscape even more dynamic.

For investors, Burjeel’s robust profit growth and expanding patient base signal a positive outlook for the company’s future performance. Healthcare in the Gulf region remains a focal point for investment, with substantial government support aimed at enhancing healthcare infrastructure and services.

As Burjeel continues to bolster its market presence, the company’s ability to innovate and adapt to changing market dynamics will be crucial. With ongoing investments and a commitment to quality, the company is well-positioned to further capitalize on the healthcare sector’s growth in the coming years.
