Dubai Airports has announced a detailed operational plan at Dubai International (DXB) to support the departure and return of approximately 3 100 pilgrims for Hajj 2025. This initiative highlights the airport’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and supportive experience during one of its busiest times of the year.

To facilitate this process, 28 dedicated flights are scheduled to operate, with airlines including Emirates, flydubai, Saudia, and flynas. The first official Hajj flight, departing from Terminal 3, will be managed by an official delegation from the Government of Dubai on June 1, 2025.
In collaboration with the oneDXB community, which includes Dubai Police, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA), Dubai Customs, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and dnata, Dubai Airports has implemented several measures to streamline the pilgrims’ experience. These measures include dedicated check-in counters across all terminals, prayer rooms and changing facilities for Ihram preparation, multilingual Guest Experience Ambassadors, and Hajj Committee support desks.
Pilgrims are advised to arrive at the airport at least four hours before their flight, carrying essential travel documents such as their passport, Emirates ID, Hajj permit, and vaccination certificate. Essa Al Shamsi, Senior Vice President of Terminal Operations at Dubai Airports, emphasized the importance of these journeys, noting, “These journeys are personal, profound, and often once in a lifetime.”
The return of pilgrims is expected between June 9 and June 12, 2025. Preparations are already underway to ensure a warm welcome, coordinated baggage support, and a small token of appreciation for the returning travelers.
The Hajj season will coincide with the summer travel peak and the Eid Al Adha holiday, leading to an anticipated increase in guest volumes at DXB. Dubai Airports remains dedicated to maintaining operational excellence and providing a seamless travel experience for all passengers during this busy period.
