Abu Dhabi Airports has announced the launch of a new passenger flight service by Air Seychelles, connecting Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) to Zayed International Airport (AUH). Operating six times a week, this new route aims to strengthen the connectivity between Abu Dhabi and the beautiful islands of Seychelles, offering travelers more opportunities for exploration and smooth travel experiences.

Through a codeshare partnership with Etihad Airways, passengers flying with Air Seychelles will benefit from seamless connections to Etihad’s extensive global network. This partnership will facilitate travel to various destinations across Europe, Asia, and more. Additionally, travelers will have the option to connect to Mauritius three times a week or travel domestically within Seychelles to Praslin Island, thereby enhancing Seychelles’ appeal as a prominent tourism hub.
Elena Sorlini, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Airports, emphasized the importance of this new flight service, stating, “This new flight service not only bolsters Abu Dhabi’s position as a global aviation hub but also strengthens the ties between the UAE and Seychelles.” She noted that the launch increases accessibility for UAE residents and international visitors, allowing them to experience the unique beauty, culture, and hospitality of the Seychelles.
Sandy Benoiton, Chief Executive Officer of Air Seychelles, expressed enthusiasm about the new service, highlighting its significance as a key gateway for passengers. He remarked that the partnership with Etihad Airways enables greater convenience and access to more destinations, fostering new travel and tourism opportunities in both the Seychelles and the UAE.
