Etihad Airways and TAP Air Portugal have officially launched a new frequent flyer partnership, providing an exciting opportunity for travelers to earn and redeem miles across both airlines. This initiative is particularly significant for those who hold Etihad Guest Miles or TAP Miles&Go points, as it allows them to benefit from their loyalty rewards regardless of which airline they booked with.

Travelers can now enjoy seamless journeys between Abu Dhabi and Lisbon while accumulating rewards. This collaboration marks a significant step in the ongoing relationship between Etihad and TAP, which began in 2023 with a codeshare agreement aimed at enhancing global connectivity. The previous partnership already expanded options for travelers by opening up more destinations across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East.

Under the new program, Etihad Guest members can earn miles when flying with TAP Air Portugal. These miles can be redeemed for flights, hotel stays, shopping, or holidays through the Etihad Guest Reward Shop. Conversely, TAP Miles&Go members can earn miles on Etihad Airways, accessing an expansive network that includes popular destinations like Chiang Mai, Medan, and Hong Kong. This means travelers could potentially earn points while enjoying a drink in Porto and later spend them relaxing on Saadiyat Beach.
