Organized by Studio B.A.S Dubai (Beyond Architecture Studio), the exhibition reflects contemporary art, architecture, and visual experimentation. It offers a dynamic space where young participants can explore and learn about architecture while actively shaping their own experience through hands-on involvement.

Sofia Tkach, the Founder and Art Director of Studio B.A.S Dubai, who is also the Curator of the Exhibition and an Architect, stated, “This exhibition is not just a performance or a series of installations, or facades and technology — it is a message. It becomes memory, emotion, atmosphere — a way of preserving stories and sensing the world.” She emphasized that the children’s work reveals that architecture encompasses not just building but also the feelings and memories associated with their surroundings.

Nataliya Melnikova, a Partner at Studio B.A.S Dubai and the Lead Producer of the Exhibition, highlighted the advantages of the UAE’s multicultural environment. She noted that this unique setting provides young architects with an opportunity to grow in a place where diverse perspectives converge. According to her, “It’s the perfect soil for imagination and complexity to thrive,” allowing children to develop a broad view of the world, art, and identity.

The exhibition promises an interactive journey, inviting visitors to explore design principles, spatial awareness, and creative problem-solving through engaging stories and immersive displays. What distinguishes this exhibition is its tailored approach for both young audiences and adults, merging learning with play and enhancing appreciation for architecture’s role in daily life.

Families, educators, and anyone interested in nurturing future architects are welcome to attend and experience innovative installations, models, and drawings that make architecture both accessible and exciting. The aim is to demonstrate that children’s creative work can be profoundly conceptual and meaningful when they are provided with the right tools, context, and encouragement.

B.A.S is not merely focused on teaching building skills; it aims to create a new generation of architects ready for the future. The multicultural foundation of the UAE provides fertile ground for nurturing such talent, emphasizing that to succeed, future architects must be multidimensional.

The B.A.S method combines core architectural knowledge with other disciplines, such as classical and contemporary art, culture, history, and theatre. This approach encourages students to think from different perspectives, draw inspiration from global architectural heritage, and envision bold futures, whether in new neighborhoods or even new planets.

Sustainability is also a crucial aspect of the B.A.S approach. Everyday items like old toys, disposable cutlery, water bottles, and packaging cardboard are reimagined as essential materials in serious architectural installations. Through this hands-on process, students develop an early understanding of ecological responsibility and creative reuse, which are vital values for future architects.

The event will be open to families, educators, and architecture and art enthusiasts, with free admission. Visitors can attend on June 8 from 1 PM to 5 PM, June 9 from 11 AM to 8 PM, and June 10 from 11 AM to 5 PM.

B.A.S serves as both a studio and a creative community dedicated to children’s development through architecture. It inspires imagination and unconventional thinking, encouraging children to express their ideas through drawings, models, and installations while fostering confidence and lifelong problem-solving skills. Beyond creation, the studio empowers children and their parents to explore, present, and defend their ideas, and it provides portfolio guidance, university advice, and internship opportunities for those interested in pursuing architecture as a profession.
