The Learning Lab builds on the success of UniHawk’s study abroad counseling for students in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. It offers a suite of professional discovery and development initiatives designed to enhance traditional academics. The platform employs a progressive approach that encourages socialization, externalization, combination, and internalization to help students unlock their potential and achieve their goals.

This summer, the Learning Lab will host the prestigious Harvard Youth Lead the Change (YLC) Conference for the first time in Oman and Bahrain, following its inception in Dubai in 2022. The conference, led by students from Harvard University, focuses on developing leadership, empathy, and problem-solving skills through presentations, workshops, case studies, and project-based exercises. These activities empower students to recognize their strengths and define their career aspirations.

In addition to the Harvard YLC, the Learning Lab has prepared the Harvard Business and Leadership Bootcamp, scheduled for June in Dubai and early July in Abu Dhabi and Riyadh. This program aims to help students explore various career paths while building essential skills such as leadership, analytical reasoning, and risk analysis. For those interested in technology, a Cambridge Tech Lead Bootcamp will occur in Qatar, Jeddah, and Kuwait in July, focusing on leadership principles in conjunction with AI and data-driven decision-making.

Moreover, the Learning Lab has introduced a variety of virtual courses allowing high school students to explore specific career paths such as business consulting, medicine, law, and entrepreneurship. To provide firsthand experience, the Lab has developed seven virtual shadowing programs in partnership with leading UK businesses. Students will also have opportunities for overseas tours to visit top universities, participate in community service, and immerse themselves in different cultures.

According to Khaleej Times, Varun Jain, founder of UniHawk and A Learning Lab, emphasized the importance of diverse experiences in career planning. He stated, “We know from our years of counselling young people that it is never too soon for high school students to start preparing for university.” He highlighted how exploring different career paths through courses and work shadowing empowers students to identify their interests early, allowing them to prepare for higher education. Jain expressed excitement about expanding these programs to new locations across the GCC this summer, enhancing opportunities for students to undergo transformational experiences.
