The Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates, along with the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Center (FCSC), has launched a new regulatory model aimed at addressing digital and gender-based violence. This initiative is part of the UAE’s broader efforts to enhance the safety and security of its digital environment.

The model focuses on creating a comprehensive framework that includes preventive measures, awareness campaigns, and legal protections for victims of online harassment and abuse. Officials highlighted the importance of cooperation between government entities and the community to effectively tackle these issues.

According to the Ministry, the regulatory model will not only provide a structured approach to dealing with incidents of digital violence but also emphasize the need for education and training in digital citizenship. This initiative reflects the UAE’s commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive digital space for all citizens.
