UAE’s MGX Strengthens US Presence with Strategic AI Hires

Abu Dhabi-based investment firm MGX is making strides in the United States by expanding its team with key hires from prestigious firms. The company’s latest appointments include Andy Pickens, who has taken on the role of managing director and AI product lead at MGX’s New York office. Pickens was previously a managing director at Apollo Global Management, as highlighted on his LinkedIn profile.

In addition to Pickens, MGX has appointed David Mamikonyan as chief security officer. Mamikonyan comes from Warburg Pincus, another leading investment firm. Furthermore, Emilio Mena Jr., who joined from Wafra Inc., has been designated as the managing director for the legal team, further strengthening MGX’s operations in the competitive U.S. market.

This strategic expansion aligns with MGX’s goals to enhance its capabilities in artificial intelligence, which is a rapidly growing sector. The firm’s recruitment of seasoned professionals indicates its commitment to establishing a significant presence in the U.S. market.
