Dubai Launches Competition with Dh200 000 in Prizes for Best Decorated Homes this Ramadan

Dubai is celebrating Ramadan with a new initiative aimed at encouraging residents to showcase their creativity in home decorations. The city’s competition offers a total prize pool of Dh200 000 in cash, along with highly sought-after Umrah tickets, to reward the most beautifully decorated homes across the emirate.

The initiative was announced by Brand Dubai and Ferjan Dubai on Sunday and is part of the efforts to promote community spirit during the holy month. The contest aligns with the ‘Year of Community’ theme, which aims to reinforce cultural heritage and foster deeper connections among residents, ensuring that traditions are preserved for future generations.

According to Brand Dubai, the first-place winner will receive Dh100 000, while the second and third places will earn Dh60 000 and Dh40 000, respectively. Additionally, seven participants will win Umrah trips for two. Winners will be announced towa d the end of the holy month, which began on March 1.

“Dubai is a city that thrives on the creativity and innovation of its community, with festive celebrations playing a key role in bringing people together,” said Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai. She emphasized that by decorating their homes, residents contribute to a collective celebration that strengthens social ties within the city.

The competition is open exclusively to Dubai residents. Participants are encouraged to decorate home facades with lights and other festive decorations while incorporating the #RamadanInDubai logo into their designs. Contestants must film a creative video of their decorations, reflecting the theme of the ‘Year of Community’, and post it as an Instagram Reel on their public accounts.

To enter the competition, participants should tag @branddubai and @ferjan.dubai in their posts and include the official hashtag #Dubai’s_Best_Decorated_Ramadan_Homes_2025. The deadline for submissions is March 21. A judging panel will evaluate the most visually striking and innovative entries, ensuring that no two winners will come from the same Dubai neighborhood.

“Decorating homes is more than just a festive gesture; it’s a way for residents to express their identity and creativity, take pride in their surroundings, and contribute to an atmosphere of joy that extends across the city,” stated Aliya Al Shamlan, CEO of Ferjan Dubai. Sarah Merdas, a member of the #RamadanInDubai campaign team, noted that this competition presents an opportunity for residents to showcase their traditions while enhancing the festive atmosphere that unites neighborhoods.
