Saqr Ghobash, the Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), is leading a delegation on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman. This visit commenced yesterday, January 18, 2025, and will continue until January 21. The primary objective of the visit is to strengthen the fraternal and parliamentary relations between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.

During this official trip, Ghobash is expected to engage in discussions with key Omani officials, including the Chairman of the State Council, known as Majlis al-Dawla, and the Speaker of the Consultative Assembly, referred to as Majlis A’shura. These meetings aim to enhance the already deep-rooted ties and strategic partnership between the two nations, which are founded on fraternal connections, shared objectives, and historical bonds.
Additionally, the visit will emphasize the importance of expanding cooperation in various fields through parliamentary diplomacy. This includes a focus on collaboration within regional and international parliamentary forums. The FNC delegation consists of several members, further highlighting the commitment of the UAE to strengthen its diplomatic and parliamentary engagement with Oman.
