XTB Launches Enhanced Investment Plans in UAE, Expanding Client Options

XTB has officially unveiled its revamped Investment Plans for clients in the United Arab Emirates, marking a significant enhancement just 16 weeks after similar products were rolled out in Europe. This development allows investors in the UAE to create portfolios that include a combination of stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), rather than relying solely on ETFs as in the previous offering.

When XTB first introduced investment plans in the UAE in January 2024, investors were limited to holding a maximum of nine ETFs in their plans. Now, clients can select from an extensive range of over 3,400 stocks and 1,800 ETFs, significantly broadening their investment opportunities. This change comes as XTB aims to attract new clients by creating more flexible and diverse portfolio options.

Investment products are notably popular among new clients at XTB, with shares, ETFs, and the new Investment Plans making up approximately 82.9% of initial transactions by new customers in the European Union during the first half of 2026. Though contracts for difference remain a major revenue stream, contributing 96% to XTB’s overall trading results, the growing interest in traditional investment products highlights a shift in investor behavior.

The latest Investment Plans offer three entry points: globally diversified options based on risk profiles, sector-focused plans, and a do-it-yourself alternative for more experienced investors. These options maintain a low entry threshold, with a minimum investment requirement set at $15, and allow for the flexibility of opening and closing plans as desired. Automation features, such as recurring purchases and on-demand rebalancing, continue from the previous offering.

This upgrade follows XTB’s strategic transition to operate under the Capital Market Authority (CMA) of the UAE after securing Category 1 and Category 2 licenses. This change not only enables XTB to service local clients throughout all seven emirates, but it also reflects a broader trend among brokers toward seeking licenses that offer greater flexibility beyond the confines of Dubai’s financial free zone.

The UAE remains a vibrant marketplace for investment services, evidenced by recent statistics indicating that the region leads the Middle East and North Africa in retail FX and CFD broker website traffic, despite a slight decline from the previous quarter. Local competitors like Sarwa are also making strides, with reported client assets surpassing $1 billion, emphasizing the competitive landscape for investment platforms in the UAE.

As XTB continues to roll out its enhanced investment plans, the firm is positioning itself to capture a growing segment of first-time investors in the region. The influx of new clients, coupled with an evolving understanding of investment strategies, suggests that XTB’s offerings may rapidly gain traction. This strategic pivot towards more customizable and diversified investment alternatives could signal a new phase of growth for the company’s operations in the Gulf region, reinforcing its commitment to meet the demands of an expanding investor base.
