According to Breaking Defense, the details surrounding the “Phase 1” deal were limited, particularly concerning the specific number of missile systems being purchased. However, representatives at Calidus’s exhibit indicated that the system is a ground-to-ground missile system, which can be mounted on armored vehicles, including light infantry fighting vehicles. The Tawazun Council, which made the announcement, also shared a photo showing several missiles mounted on a heavy-duty truck.

Calidus has a prominent presence at IDEX, showcasing several armored vehicles, including one featuring an “ALHEDA” mounted missile pod. Additionally, the company introduced a new rugged 8×8 vehicle, reported to be the first designed and produced in the region. While IDEX primarily focuses on ground systems, Calidus is also known for its aircraft production; the UAE Air Force is a customer for its B250 trainer aircraft, as previously reported by Breaking Defense in November 2023.

This missile system deal represents a substantial portion of the overall agreements signed at IDEX 2025. According to Tawazun, a total of 18 deals have been signed with various local and international firms, amounting to AED 9.8 billion. The first day of the exposition alone saw nine local deals and four international deals, totaling AED 4 billion.
