Dubai International Chamber has inaugurated its 36th international representative office in Bangkok, Thailand. This new office is expected to play a crucial role in attracting businesses and investments from Thailand to Dubai, thereby strengthening trade ties between the two regions.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized that the Bangkok office will enhance Dubai’s global connectivity. He stated that it reaffirms their commitment to helping businesses expand internationally and will create new opportunities for Thai companies to enter Dubai’s market. He added that Thailand is a significant partner in their mission to position Dubai as a global trade and investment hub.
The office was opened during the ‘Doing Business with Thailand’ forum, part of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s ‘New Horizons’ trade mission to Southeast Asia. The forum attracted over 474 participants, including senior officials, business leaders, and Thai companies eager to explore partnership opportunities with the Dubai delegation.
The trade mission featured 20 Dubai-based companies from various sectors, such as food and beverages, human resources, trading, electronics, hospitality, industrial lubricants, investment, and agriculture. The chamber successfully arranged 288 bilateral business meetings between Dubai delegates and Thai companies.
This initiative aims to strengthen the growing economic relationship between Dubai and Thailand, with non-oil bilateral trade exceeding AED 23.8 billion in 2024, marking a significant year-over-year growth of 23.3%. Additionally, the number of Thai companies registered as active members of Dubai Chamber of Commerce increased by 28.4% in 2024, reaching 190 by year-end, showcasing the deepening engagement between the two business communities.
Dubai Chamber of Commerce has identified several high-potential export products from Dubai to Thailand, including livestock feed, fertilizer, flat-rolled iron and steel, unwrought aluminum alloys, and cosmetic products. Furthermore, key investment opportunities for Dubai-based companies in Thailand include rental and leasing services, renewable energy, freight and distribution services, and medical tourism.
