UAE and Sweden Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, the Chairman of the Committee on Defence, Interior, and Foreign Affairs in the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Fredrik Floren, the Ambassador of Sweden to the UAE, to explore ways to enhance cooperation between the two nations. This meeting took place today in Abu Dhabi and was attended by Sheikha Saeed Al Kaabi, a member of the FNC.

The discussions highlighted the growing importance of parliamentary diplomacy in supporting the UAE’s national strategies and enhancing its global partnerships. Key areas of cooperation identified included advanced technology, artificial intelligence, investment in startups, and renewable energy.

Both Dr. Al Nuaimi and Ambassador Floren exchanged views on regional and international developments, emphasizing the need for political and diplomatic solutions to tackle ongoing global challenges. Dr. Al Nuaimi reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to sustainable development that benefits both the region and its people. Furthermore, Ambassador Floren expressed Sweden’s strong interest in expanding cooperation with the UAE across various sectors and commended the UAE’s open policy and its success in establishing strategic partnerships globally.
