Italy and the United Arab Emirates have formally agreed to develop an artificial intelligence hub in Italy, according to Industry Minister Adolfo Urso. This announcement was made on Friday and highlights a significant step in technological collaboration between the two nations.

The partnership involves Abu Dhabi-based AI group G42 teaming up with the Italian company iGenius. Together, they aim to construct what is described as “the largest AI computing infrastructure in Europe,” as noted in a statement from Urso’s ministry.

G42 will play a crucial role as the main financier for the initial phase of this ambitious project, which underscores the commitment to advancing AI capabilities in Europe. This collaboration reflects a broader trend of international partnerships aimed at enhancing technological infrastructure and innovation.
