Among the key announcements relevant to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region are the introduction of Gemini 2.5 Flash, which follows the earlier launch of Gemini 2.5 Pro, now topping the LMArena leaderboard in all categories. Gemini 2.5 Flash is touted as Google’s most efficient model designed for speed and affordability, and it will be available for preview in Google AI Studio for developers, as well as in the Gemini app starting in June.

The event also highlighted Jules, an asynchronous AI coding agent capable of fixing bugs and creating pull requests simultaneously, allowing developers to concentrate on more creative aspects of their work. This feature will be accessible to developers in various countries, including those in MENA.

Furthermore, Google is enhancing the Search experience in MENA by introducing AI Overviews, which provide quick summaries and links to help users quickly grasp topics. This feature, powered by Gemini’s model, is now available in more languages, including Arabic.

Additionally, Gemini Live with Camera will be available for free to Gemini users on both Android and iOS devices. AI-powered quizzes are now accessible globally, offering personalized and dynamic learning experiences. Users can also leverage the Canvas or Deep Research feature on Gemini to create infographics and listen to engaging audio discussions, now available in Arabic.

Google’s latest model for image generation, Imagen 4, is now available to users in MENA, allowing them to generate more detailed and personalized images based on their prompts. However, some advanced features like Veo 3 and Flow, which include state-of-the-art video generation capabilities, are not yet available in the MENA region.
