Kuwait and US Strengthen Strategic Ties in Energy Sector

Kuwait’s Ambassador to the US, Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, along with Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, the CEO and Deputy Chairman of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), held a significant meeting with US Interior Secretary Doug Burgum. The meeting, as reported by Kuwait’s Embassy, focused on enhancing strategic relations between the two nations, particularly in the energy sector. They also discussed the upcoming construction of the Desert Storm and Desert Shield memorial in Washington.

In addition to the meeting with Secretary Burgum, the Kuwaiti embassy organized a roundtable discussion featuring Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah in partnership with the Washington-based Atlantic Council think tank. During this discussion, Sheikh Nawaf addressed various critical topics such as solar energy, artificial intelligence, carbon recycling, and emphasized Kuwait’s increasing role in the global energy landscape.
