The 7th Annual Saudi International Vaccination Forum recently took place in Riyadh, hosted by the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs and King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, in partnership with the Public Health Authority (PHA). This event underscored a strong commitment to improving public health through innovative and science-based vaccination efforts. The forum followed the theme “Vaccination for Healthier Communities Protecting Lives Promoting Wellbeing,” marking a crucial step in the region’s immunization initiatives.

Over three days, the forum brought together a diverse group of global and regional experts, policymakers, researchers, and representatives from international organizations. It served as a dynamic platform for exchanging knowledge, analyzing new data, and aligning strategic approaches to enhance immunization systems and protect public health.

Participants at the forum outlined several key recommendations which included enhancing disease surveillance frameworks for quicker detection and response, promoting higher vaccine acceptance through targeted behavioral initiatives, prioritizing research and development investments to drive innovation, and strengthening national vaccination plans for vulnerable groups.
