Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to conduct its 79th online auction featuring 350 distinctive license plates. These plates consist of three, four, and five-digit combinations, and are available for private vehicles, classic vehicles, and motorcycles. The online auction will take place on May 26.

The auction includes plates that bear codes ranging from H to Z, covering categories such as H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z. Registration for interested bidders opens on Monday, May 19, and will remain open for just five days.

All sales will be subject to a 5 percent Value Added Tax (VAT), and it is essential for all participants to possess a valid traffic file in the Emirate of Dubai. To participate in the auction, bidders must submit a security cheque for AED5 000 made payable to RTA, as well as a non-refundable participation fee of AED120.

Payments for registration can be made at Customer Happiness Centres located in Umm Ramool, Al Barsha, and Deira, or through credit card on the RTA website at www.rta.ae. Successful bidders will be required to complete their payment within 10 working days following the auction’s conclusion.

For payments, bidders can use cash for amounts up to AED50 000, while amounts exceeding AED50 000 must be paid via certified cheque or credit card. Transactions can also be processed at Customer Happiness Centres or on the RTA’s website.
