The Bitgrit platform already boasts over 37,000 AI developers from 62 different countries. The company has collaborated with notable organizations, including NASA, SoftBank, and the Tokyo Government, to leverage community power for solving complex challenges using AI. Bitgrit, which originated in Japan, expanded to the UAE in 2021 after being selected for Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s premier startup acceleration program.

Through its platform, Bitgrit enables companies to crowdsource tailored AI solutions via competitions and to license community-developed AI models quickly and affordably. The company’s patented GritBox technology allows developers to train AI models using private datasets while keeping the underlying data secure. The launch of the BGR Network enhances these functionalities by bringing AI assets fully on-chain.

Kazuya Saginawa, CEO of Bitgrit, emphasized their vision, stating, “We’re building a future where AI innovation benefits everyone—not just a few.” He described the BGR Network as a transformative initiative that digitizes ownership rights, enhances transparency, and promotes global collaboration. Saginawa envisions a future where AI models within the Bitgrit ecosystem can autonomously communicate and evolve, contributing to the development of Artificial Super Intelligence.

The establishment of the Bitgrit DLT Foundation in ADGM allows the company to utilize Abu Dhabi’s robust regulatory framework and progressive policies to expand its blockchain-powered AI ecosystem. The foundation aims to create a decentralized AI economy, enabling developers, enterprises, and institutions to securely build, license, and stake AI models on-chain.

With the BGR Token now live, Bitgrit is committed to ensuring fair and transparent value distribution between AI developers and businesses, upholding the principles of decentralization and equitable monetization.

Saksham Kukreja, COO of Bitgrit, expressed excitement about being part of Abu Dhabi’s dynamic Web3 ecosystem. He stated that their goal has always been to democratize AI and make it accessible to everyone, emphasizing the importance of launching their blockchain network under a trusted regulatory environment like ADGM. Kukreja noted that the launch of the Bitgrit DLT Foundation represents a significant advance in bridging AI and blockchain on a global scale.

Bitgrit has already established key strategic partnerships within the ADGM Web3 ecosystem, including a collaboration with Changer.ae, a licensed digital asset custody provider, to ensure the secure management of BGR tokens. Additionally, the BGR Network is supported by Avalanche, a leading blockchain known for its high-speed, low-cost transactions, enhancing the network’s scalability and adoption.

Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, CEO of the Registration Authority (RA) of ADGM, remarked that Bitgrit’s establishment of its DLT Foundation within ADGM contributes to a growing ecosystem that is shaping the future of blockchain and AI innovation. He highlighted this move as a testament to the strength of ADGM’s regulatory framework and its role in positioning Abu Dhabi as a global hub for blockchain development.
