The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), through its Sharjah Training and Development Centre (STDC), recently concluded a strategic visit to Spain to enhance academic and training collaborations. The delegation was led by Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General of SCCI, and Amal Abdullah Al Ali, Director of STDC.

During the visit, the team engaged with prominent Spanish institutions, focusing on improving leadership and management skills among UAE professionals. A key collaboration with the University of Navarra, under the direction of Jaime García del Barrio, Director-General of the Institute for Culture and Society, aims to ensure that STDC’s programmes align with global trends in leadership development.
The visit highlighted the success of the “Strategic Business Leadership” programme, a joint initiative between SCCI, the Granada Chamber of Commerce, and the University of Granada. This programme has been designed to enhance strategic leadership and business management skills and has played a crucial role in empowering UAE professionals.
Additionally, the delegation’s discussions with Spanish experts provided valuable insights into advanced management practices and strategic decision-making. Al Shamsi emphasized SCCI’s commitment to improving STDC’s programmes through international accreditation and innovative training methodologies.
