Emirates Announces Major Updates at Arabian Travel Market 2025

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has made significant announcements that could influence travelers’ upcoming holidays. These updates were showcased at the annual Arabian Travel Market (ATM) conference held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, where Emirates also secured partnerships with major tourism entities.

The airline is celebrating its 40th year of operations and has expanded its services significantly. Notably, Emirates has signed agreements with tourism boards from 19 popular destinations, including Sharjah, the Philippines, and Thailand. These agreements aim to enhance inbound tourism and will likely lead to increased promotions for these locations.

Emirates has also revealed plans to upgrade its fleet by introducing retrofitted Boeing 777s and Airbus A380s on various routes. Passengers traveling to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Nice, and Perth will soon experience the new A380 interiors. Additionally, Boeing 777s will be deployed on routes to Madrid, Kuala Lumpur, and Frankfurt, among others.

To enhance travel convenience, Emirates has signed an interline agreement with Kuwait Airways, allowing passengers to seamlessly connect between the two airlines without the need to claim baggage at connecting airports. This agreement facilitates smoother travel on combined itineraries.

In a move to diversify its offerings, Emirates has partnered with Hapag-Lloyd Cruises to provide luxury cruise packages starting from the 2026/2027 season. This collaboration will allow Emirates customers to explore destinations like the Indian Ocean Islands and Australia while also sharing insights to maintain service quality.

Emirates and flydubai reported that five million travelers flew on their joint networks in the past year, marking a 36 percent increase. This partnership has expanded travel options from Dubai to over 400 destinations worldwide, also offering a joint loyalty program for frequent travelers.

The airline is set to enhance its partnership with Philippine Airlines by exploring a reciprocal code-sharing agreement. This agreement will provide better connectivity for travelers between the Philippines and Dubai, allowing for simplified booking processes and a unified baggage policy.

Furthermore, Emirates has established a new codeshare agreement with Air Seychelles, which will facilitate connections between Mahe and Praslin Island. This partnership will enable easier and more efficient travel for passengers booking flights within the Seychelles.

In preparation for the summer travel season, Emirates has extended its codeshare agreement with Condor, offering connectivity to 11 new destinations across Europe and the Caribbean. Travelers booking with Condor can also benefit from connections to various destinations served by Emirates from its Dubai hub.
