Burjeel Cancer Institute (BCI) has announced strategic collaborations aimed at improving oncology care in the United Arab Emirates. The institute has partnered with the European Institute of Oncology, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital to advance cancer treatment in the region.

These partnerships will utilize teleconsultation and remote patient monitoring technologies, which will facilitate second opinions from international experts. Furthermore, BCI plans to establish visiting programs to enhance local capabilities in cancer care.

Additionally, Burjeel Cancer Institute has joined forces with AbbVie Biopharmaceuticals to develop a personalized medicine approach in cancer treatment. This collaboration aims to tailor therapies to individual patient needs, thereby improving treatment outcomes.
