The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) has officially partnered with Microsoft to create a ‘Population Health Intelligence’ framework. This collaboration aims to enhance public health management through an advanced learning system that will continuously address and respond to public health challenges.

Under the memorandum of understanding, DoH will leverage Microsoft’s cloud and artificial intelligence technologies across multiple workstreams. These workstreams will include the development of concepts and prototypes, value assurance, integration into Abu Dhabi’s digital health infrastructure, and initiatives for public knowledge-sharing, which will be facilitated through conferences and global reports.
The framework is specifically designed to support a learning health system capable of predicting, preventing, and responding effectively to public health issues. The MoU was signed by H.E. Ibrahim Al Jallaf, Executive Director of Digital Health at DoH, and Naim Yazbeck, Country General Manager of Microsoft UAE.
