Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, in collaboration with Etihad Rail, has officially opened a new 1.8-kilometer flyover on Al Yalayis Street. This signal-controlled flyover, which has a three-lane capacity, is designed to improve traffic flow for vehicles traveling to and from Dubai Investment Park.

The new infrastructure features a right-turn slip road for vehicles coming from Dubai, providing direct access to the park. Additionally, there is a right-turn slip road for those exiting towards Sheikh Zayed Road. This development aims to optimize traffic movement and enhance road safety for all users.
The construction of the flyover is part of RTA’s commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of trains within the UAE’s national railway network. The design allows trains to travel within the median strip of Al Yalayis Street while maintaining the smooth flow of vehicular traffic, effectively separating the movement of trains from that of vehicles.
This flyover represents a significant collaboration between RTA and Etihad Rail in supporting the national railway network, a key strategic infrastructure project in the UAE. The network is pivotal for enhancing a sustainable transport system, enabling efficient movement of goods and passengers through modern and integrated railway services.
Etihad Rail has expressed its commitment to working with relevant authorities to ensure that operations meet the highest global standards. The objective is to provide effective transport services that enhance connectivity and ensure the safe delivery of railway services.
The opening of the flyover will further facilitate train movement by linking vital routes, improving mobility to and from Dubai. Future plans include extending the flyover towards Jumeirah Golf Estates, with proposals for a two-lane road in each direction to enhance connectivity and ensure smooth traffic flow in the area.
