Etihad Airways has announced an exciting expansion of its flight services to Nairobi, Kenya. Starting December 15, 2025, the airline will double its service to 14 weekly flights connecting Abu Dhabi and Nairobi. This move comes less than a year after the airline resumed flights to the Kenyan capital.

The increase in flights highlights the growing popularity of the route, with Nairobi, known as the “Green City in the Sun,” offering a unique combination of urban life and wildlife experiences. Etihad Airways aims to facilitate travel to this vibrant city, where visitors can experience both business and leisure activities in one day.
This enhancement of services to Nairobi is part of a broader strategy by Etihad Airways to expand its network across Africa. The airline is not only increasing flight frequencies but is also adding new destinations and forming strategic partnerships to improve connectivity. This expansion is significant as it aims to strengthen connections between Abu Dhabi and several culturally and commercially important cities throughout Africa.
In addition to Nairobi, the new and expanded routes by December 2025 include: Addis Ababa with 7 weekly flights starting October 8, Casablanca and Johannesburg with 7 weekly flights starting August 1, Seychelles with 6 weekly flights via Air Seychelles starting May 24, Algiers with 4 weekly flights starting November 7, Tunis with 3 weekly flights starting November 1, and Al Alamein with 2 weekly flights from July 17 to September 14.
Travelers can look forward to easier access to various destinations in Africa, whether for business in Nairobi’s tech hub, surfing in the Seychelles, or exploring the markets in Tunis.
