GOTECH 2025, a conference in the oil and gas sector, is set to take place in Dubai from April 21 to 23. The event will focus on the theme “Towards a Digital and Sustainable Future of Energy,” bringing together global leaders, innovators, and experts to discuss the emerging trends and challenges in the energy landscape.

Organized in collaboration with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Dragon Oil, the conference will serve as a vital platform for discussions on technological advancements and sustainability within the energy sector. Ali Rashid Al Jarwan, the Honorary President of the Organising Committee and CEO of Dragon Oil, emphasized the significance of supporting digital transformation and innovation in the energy sector. He noted it also reinforces Dubai’s standing as a global hub for knowledge and technology in this area.
According to Khaleej Times, Michelle Boyd, General Manager of Events at the Society of Petroleum Engineers, highlighted that the energy sector is experiencing unprecedented transformations. She pointed out that GOTECH 2025 offers a unique opportunity for leaders and innovators to discuss the intersection of technology, sustainability, and talent development, providing crucial insights into how innovation can lead to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.
The conference agenda includes discussions on critical topics such as leveraging digital transformation, talent and skills development in the evolving energy landscape, and strategies for maximizing recovery from mature assets. Sessions will also focus on fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the energy sector, along with specialized technical sessions on enhancing production through analytics and machine learning.
In addition to the discussions, the event will feature workshops, including one dedicated to offshore operations excellence through technology and sustainability. A dedicated university platform will allow students to interact with industry leaders while showcasing their projects and research related to energy and digital technologies.
The accompanying technology exhibition will present products and solutions from over 48 exhibitors, allowing attendees to engage with innovators and explore how digital transformation and sustainability are shaping the future of energy.
