BEEAH, a leading pioneer in sustainability and innovation in the region, has formed a strategic partnership with Sharjah Sustainable City, the first master-planned sustainable residential community developed by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) in collaboration with Diamond Developers. This partnership aims to transform waste management practices and further advance the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals of Sharjah Sustainable City.

The formalization of the partnership took place in the presence of notable dignitaries, including Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Chief Executive Officer of Shurooq, and Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO & Vice Chairman of BEEAH. The agreement was established through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by Yousif Ahmed Al Mutawa, Chief Real Estate Officer of Shurooq, and Fahad Ali Shehail, CEO of Environment at BEEAH.
This collaboration will create a framework for both organizations to launch and implement innovative sustainability initiatives. Yousif Ahmed Al Mutawa expressed that the partnership marks a significant milestone in their mission to develop a truly sustainable urban community that can serve as a model for future developments. He noted that by utilizing Sharjah Sustainable City as a living laboratory and BEEAH’s expertise in environmental innovation and waste management, they are setting a new benchmark for eco-friendly communities in the region.
Fahad Ali Shehail highlighted that the agreement aligns with BEEAH’s vision to lead in environmental innovations that enhance the quality of life. He stated that through this partnership, advanced waste management systems and sustainability technologies will be introduced in Sharjah Sustainable City, reinforcing the emirate’s position as a leader in sustainability.
As part of the collaboration, BEEAH will create educational and training programs centered on sustainable waste management, engaging residents, facility management teams, and the broader community to equip them with the necessary tools for sustainable living. Sharjah Sustainable City will act as a pilot platform for testing and adopting new technologies proposed by BEEAH, contributing resources and expertise to joint sustainability projects.
Additional focus areas for this agreement include waste management automation, smart transition technologies, and the operations of biogas plants. These initiatives are expected to provide significant benefits to the residents of Sharjah Sustainable City and support the overall sustainability agenda across the emirate and the region.
