First International Wireless Aviation Championship Kicks Off in Al Ain

The first International Wireless Aviation Championship is set to begin on Wednesday at the Al Ain Amateur Club, part of the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club. The event will feature 70 pilots, including 40 professional competitors from 15 countries around the globe. It starts tomorrow and will end on 6 th of April.

The championship is organized by Eco Adventure Tourism and is sponsored by the Department of Culture and Tourism in Al Ain. The competitions will start at 5 PM and will include various events for both professionals and amateurs. Additionally, there will be an aerial display featuring three aircraft from the Emirates Falcons Aviation Club, along with another display by paramotor aircraft.

Mohammed Rashid Al Nuaimi, General Manager of the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club, emphasized that this championship, being held for the first time at the club, marks a significant event for the region and reinforces the UAE’s and Abu Dhabi’s prominence in hosting international sports events. The event is under the patronage of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan.
