Expo Centre Sharjah has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing the exhibitions and events industry in the UAE, particularly in Sharjah. The Centre aims to foster growth that benefits essential economic, social, cultural, and educational sectors while strengthening its contribution to sustainable development.

The Centre’s events calendar for 2025 features a diverse lineup of innovative and specialized events and exhibitions. These include debut editions focused on key industries such as manufacturing, smart mobility, commerce, healthcare, fragrances, gold, and jewellery. This announcement was made during a meeting of the Centre’s Board of Directors, chaired by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, who is the Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Expo Centre Sharjah.
During the meeting, key figures including Sheikh Majid Faisal Khalid Al Qasemi, First Vice Chairman of SCCI, and Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, were present along with board members, department heads, and senior executives. They reviewed the achievements of Expo Centre Sharjah and its affiliated centres in Khorfakkan and Al Dhaid, noting that the Centre successfully organized and hosted 80 major exhibitions over the past year. This marked a significant 60 percent increase compared to 2023 and attracted nearly 3 million visitors from the UAE and beyond.
The board also discussed critical indicators and outcomes from key exhibitions hosted by Expo Sharjah, including SteelFab, the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition “ACRES,” and the Jewels of Emirates Show. They emphasized the need to enhance the Centre’s infrastructure and develop its logistical and technological services, aiming to optimize operational efficiency and improve experiences for participants and visitors in line with global best practices.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais highlighted that advancing the exhibitions and conferences sector is essential to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He pointed out that the exhibition industry plays a crucial role in attracting industrial and commercial investments, boosting the tourism sector, and enhancing cross-border economic connectivity.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa asserted that Expo Sharjah is continuing to solidify its position as a leading hub for regional and international exhibitions and conferences. He emphasized that the Centre’s annual plans align strategically with national economic diversification goals, enhancing partnerships and attracting global exhibitors. The meeting also showcased preliminary results from the Ramadan Nights Exhibition, which contributed to retail enhancement and domestic tourism within the framework of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival.
The board reviewed the upcoming exhibition agenda and preparations for flagship events such as the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show, the Emirates Perfume and Oud Exhibition, and the Gulf Coatings Show. They also discussed first-time exhibitions in Sharjah, such as the Evolve Future Mobility Show and the Dairy Tech Middle East exhibition, which will both make their debut in the emirate.
