UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Rome, Italy, on Sunday, February 23, for a state visit. His official engagements are set to commence today, on Monday, February 24. Upon entering Italian airspace, Sheikh Mohamed’s plane was escorted by a squadron of military aircraft, signifying a warm welcome from Italy.

Accompanying Sheikh Mohamed is a high-level delegation that includes prominent figures such as Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President.
Other key members of the delegation include Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; and Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, among others. This visit underscores the UAE’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties with Italy and enhancing bilateral cooperation.
