The project, which is overseen by Her Highness Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of Sheikh Mohammed, was named in memory of the late Sheikh Rashid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It forms part of the Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Family Programme, which focuses on boosting family stability, improving quality of life, and creating a supportive social environment for Emiratis.

Sheikh Mohammed highlighted Dubai’s commitment to offering citizens world-class housing. “Our objective is to ensure that every citizen enjoys a fully integrated environment that promotes stability and comfort, while providing access to the highest standards of living and well-being,” he said, as reported by Gulf Today.

The housing project is being rolled out in four phases. The first phase, featuring 124 homes, will be completed in 2026. Subsequent phases will add 208 homes in 2027, 199 homes in 2029, and 141 homes by 2032. The design emphasizes green spaces, internal road access, and amenities like a mosque, recreational areas, and markets to promote economic sustainability.

This initiative aligns with Dubai’s Social Agenda 33 and Urban Master Plan 2040, which aim to enhance the city’s housing services, ensure family cohesion, and provide sustainable living environments. Sheikh Mohammed described the project as a model of excellence, reflecting Dubai’s vision of promoting innovation, development, and global competitiveness.
