Launched in 2015, the programme aims to prepare Emirati students for critical industries. So far, more than 2,000 students have benefited, with 95% now working in key roles, boosting Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub for innovation and sustainable development.
Dr. Bashaer Almatrooshi, Executive Director of ADEK’s Talent Enablement Sector, stated through WAM that the programme is designed to equip students with academic knowledge and job-ready skills. She highlighted ADEK’s comprehensive support system, which extends from scholarship commencement to career development.
This year, the programme has introduced a new Master’s track focusing on social disciplines, partnering with institutions like Columbia University in the USA, the University of Toronto in Canada, and the University of Melbourne in Australia. Fields covered include Clinical Psychology, Family Counseling, and Social Work.
Students can also explore majors in cutting-edge areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Renewable Energy, Fintech, and even creative fields like Animation and Culinary Arts. ADEK has partnered with over 200 industry leaders to ensure graduates have direct pathways into top organisations.
The initiative also includes an annual Alumni Bootcamp, offering graduates career planning tools, CV writing workshops, and networking opportunities with former students. Aysha Al Dhaheri, an ADS alumna now working at Abu Dhabi Ports, shared that the programme gave her a strong foundation to excel in her career.
With its global partnerships and focus on aligning education with workforce needs, ADEK continues to strengthen its efforts to prepare Emirati talent for the challenges of tomorrow.
