“We began this journey two decades ago,” Al Hammadi stated during a panel on ‘Governments, rewired,’ as reported by Khaleej Times. She highlighted that 99% of government services have now been digitalised, with 90% of citizens expressing satisfaction. Every citizen has access to a unified digital number, allowing seamless interaction with government and some private-sector services.
But the transformation isn’t just about technology. The minister revealed that 80% of federal laws in the UAE have been updated over the past four years, with 30 new laws introduced to attract and retain talent, including entrepreneurs.
Al Hammadi also credited regular reforms and a unified vision among Cabinet members for keeping the government dynamic and efficient. She noted that new ministries are often established to address emerging challenges, ensuring the UAE remains ahead in a rapidly changing world.
