Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) Chairman, Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, recently reviewed the progress of the “Digital Warehouses” project, a key initiative under the Sharjah Foundation to Support Pioneering Entrepreneurs (Ruwad). The project had showcased its potential at the Global Startup Festival COMEUP in Seoul, Korea.

During a meeting at the SEDD headquarters, the “Digital Warehouses” team presented their services, products, and the outcomes of their international participation. Among the achievements was a significant partnership agreement with Korean firms, aimed at attracting leading e-commerce companies from Korea to establish operations in Sharjah and across the UAE.
Al Mahmoud praised the project’s accomplishments, emphasizing its role in enhancing Sharjah’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. He noted the potential of such initiatives to attract investments and foster global partnerships, further supporting Sharjah’s economic goals.
The Chairman also highlighted the important contributions of Emirati entrepreneurs in driving innovation and advancing Sharjah’s position as a hub for business and international collaboration.
