He accepted the award during a ceremony held by the International Society of Forensic Radiology and Imaging in Fukui, Japan, which also recognized a distinguished group of experts and researchers from around the world. This Japanese award is considered one of the most prestigious international honors in intelligent forensic medicine and marks a significant scientific achievement for Abu Dhabi Police, highlighting their leadership, competitiveness, and innovation in the global criminal justice system.

Dr. Al-Shirawi’s research paper, developed in collaboration with the Victoria Institute of Forensic Medicine in Australia, presented the results of an advanced study that included 456 cases of deaths caused by increased intracranial pressure due to fatal hemorrhaging. The research utilized artificial intelligence techniques in virtual eye autopsy, providing precise forensic indicators, including the potential to classify this type of hemorrhage into criminal and non-criminal cases. This necessitates an expansion of investigative methods based on these modern technical results.

Colonel Dr. Al-Shirawi expressed his gratitude to the police leadership for their continuous support and commitment to providing a stimulating scientific environment. He emphasized that this achievement serves as a motivation to continue excellence and make a unique leap in employing technology and artificial intelligence in the service of justice and society.
