Qatar Considers Hosting the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup

A recent report indicates that Qatar, which successfully hosted the 2022 FIFA World Cup, is contemplating the possibility of hosting the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup. This potential event is being considered for the winter months, following feedback from clubs regarding high temperatures experienced during the current tournament.

According to the report, representatives from Qatar engaged in discussions with officials from FIFA in the United States during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. These talks have focused on the logistics and feasibility of Qatar hosting the tournament.

The representatives emphasized that the 2029 edition would be more environmentally friendly compared to the current version, which involves teams traveling across 11 host cities. In contrast, all nine stadiums used for the 2022 World Cup are closely located and ready for use, with six of them specifically serving the local tournament, along with existing infrastructure that supports event management.
