Air Arabia Launches First Direct Flights to Sochi, Russia

Air Arabia, the first low-cost airline in the Middle East and North Africa, has launched its inaugural direct flights to Sochi, Russia, operating six flights per week. This new destination becomes the sixth Russian city added to the airline’s network from Sharjah, joining Moscow, Kazan, Samara, Ufa, and Yekaterinburg, thereby enhancing the airline’s growing presence in the Russian market.

Adel Ali, the CEO of Air Arabia Group, stated that the launch of direct flights to Sochi represents a new step in the airline’s expansion within the Russian market. He emphasized that this new service provides passengers with a convenient and economical option for travel between the United Arab Emirates and Russia, while also supporting and strengthening tourism and trade relations between the two countries. Sochi’s addition to the route network reaffirms Air Arabia’s ongoing commitment to offer more travel opportunities for its customers.

He noted that the UAE is one of the prominent destinations served by Sochi Airport, and with the inclusion of Sharjah, it becomes the third emirate in Air Arabia’s network, further enhancing the growing ties between the two nations. Following the addition of Sochi, Air Arabia now operates flights to Russia from three airports in the UAE, including Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah. This expansion underscores the airline’s dedication to promoting air travel between the UAE and Russia and supporting tourism, trade, and cultural exchange between the two countries.
