The Sharjah Police General Command has introduced the nation’s first professional diploma aimed at training and certifying forensic fingerprint experts. This initiative represents a pioneering step to enhance law enforcement education within the country.

The diploma has been developed in strategic partnership with the University of Sharjah and marks a crucial milestone in specialized training for law enforcement personnel. This new program is a transformative initiative from the Forensic Evidence Department, designed to improve the quality of criminal investigations by equipping national talent with world-class expertise in fingerprint analysis.
The curriculum integrates theoretical foundations with practical training, incorporating the latest advancements in forensic technology along with global best practices. According to MSN, Major General bin Amer emphasized the importance of applied academic programs in strengthening police capabilities, stating, “This diploma is more than a training course — it’s a bridge between knowledge and action. It empowers our officers to perform with greater precision and professionalism, reinforcing the integrity of police work at every level.”
Dr. Essam El Din Ajami also highlighted the significance of this collaboration, calling it a model of academic-security synergy. He noted that the partnership aligns research and education with the real needs of the security sector, stating, “It not only supports evidence-based policing but also helps shape a new generation of experts ready to meet the nation’s evolving challenges.” He further added that the university is committed to tailoring its educational offerings to meet the priorities of key national industries.
