In a move to support the knowledge economy and boost investment in national talents, the Centre for a Quarter Century of Science and Technology in Sharjah has announced the launch of the “Scientific Residency” program. This initiative, which operates under the slogan “Research with Impact,” is designed as an intensive national research experience lasting one year and targets high school students from various Emirates.

The program aims to empower young people to engage in practical scientific experiences within research environments that mimic real-world challenges, under the guidance of a team of experts and specialists. It offers a structured approach through four progressive levels, starting with establishing research skills, moving to practical application, advancing to development and publication, and culminating in projects that have a tangible impact on the community and academic fields.
This initiative is part of Sharjah’s ongoing efforts to support research and innovation, which are essential for achieving sustainable development and solidifying the city’s position as a knowledge and scientific hub. The program is expected to involve 40 to 60 enthusiastic participants eager to embark on their research journey. Registration is currently open for youth in grades nine through twelve, with the program set to commence on August 9, 2025, at the Centre for a Quarter Century of Science and Technology in Sharjah.
