This statistic underscores the significant role that younger generations play in the country’s workforce dynamics. Additionally, the report highlights a remarkable nearly 21% increase in women’s participation in the job market, reflecting ongoing efforts to promote gender equality in the workplace.

The ministry’s findings indicate that there are more than 7.4 million workers in the UAE, with a substantial portion being young individuals. Specifically, 51.9% of the labor force consists of youth aged between 15 and 34 years. This demographic shift is seen as a positive development for the nation’s economy, as young workers often bring innovation and dynamism to various sectors.

Moreover, the participation of women in the UAE labor market has reached new heights, with the share of female employees rising by 20.9%. This increase is attributed to various initiatives by the government aimed at empowering women and encouraging their involvement in diverse professions. The MoHRE continues to advocate for policies that support both youth and women in achieving their career aspirations in the UAE.
