Winners of ‘Innovators 2024’ Competition Announced

The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has revealed the winners of the seventh edition of the ‘Innovators 2024’ competition. The announcement was made on January 2, 2025, following months of rigorous evaluation.

Students from across the UAE participated in the competition, with 137 teams initially entering. After a thorough selection process, 45 teams met the initial criteria, 20 advanced to the first evaluation phase, and nine made it to the final implementation stage. Ultimately, three teams were crowned winners for their exceptional projects.

The winning projects included “Aboory” by Abdullah Ahmed Al Hammadi and Fatima Rashid Awad, “MindSync” by Mohammed Adnan Mohammed and Ardzin Nathaniel Omaldi, and the “Smart Modular Shading System” by Nabeel Nadeem Al Qadi, Alaa Salah Abdulaziz, and Youssef Rasim Al Shaki.

Awards recognizing sustainability and community service will be announced later, while all winners will be honored during Innovation Week in February 2025.

Dr. Khalifa Ali Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Foundation, expressed his pride in the students’ achievements during this cycle. Speaking to WAM, he highlighted how the competition encourages creativity and innovation, providing students with a supportive environment to turn their ideas into practical projects.

The competition, which began in June 2024, showcases the growing talent and innovative thinking among UAE students, further expanding opportunities for young minds to excel.
