Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Announces Over AED 1 Billion for Housing Support

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, announced that the UAE is actively enhancing its housing system to effectively meet the needs of its citizens. In January, approvals issued under the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program benefited over 1,300 citizens, with a total value exceeding AED 1 billion.

As WAM reported, Sheikh Mohammed indicated that efforts are ongoing to increase the number of beneficiaries throughout the year, addressing all pending applications. He highlighted that, over the past two years, a total of 13,000 applications have been processed and approved, with the current waiting period reduced to just two months. This short timeline positions the UAE among the best globally in terms of housing application processing.

In his remarks, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the UAE’s commitment to promoting family stability through ongoing improvements in housing services. He pointed out the development of an integrated system designed to streamline approvals across various funding and housing entities, with the goal of enabling approvals within a single day.

The UAE is dedicated to advancing its national housing system through comprehensive strategies that ensure sustainable delivery of housing services. The Sheikh Zayed Housing Program plays a crucial role in realizing this vision, demonstrating the government’s commitment to supporting its citizens in securing affordable housing.
