Mohamed Yousef AlSharhan, the Managing Director of the World Governments Summit Organisation (WGSO), stated that the World Government Summit 2025, themed “Shaping Future Governments,” seeks to deliver a message of hope globally. The summit is designed to facilitate the sharing of expertise and innovative solutions to tackle pressing global challenges.
In an interview with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during the summit in Dubai, AlSharhan told that the event’s agenda transcends sectoral and geographical boundaries. He described the summit as “an inclusive platform for all governments,” featuring diverse participation from world leaders and government officials from regions including the Arab world, Africa, Latin America, Asia, and Europe.
He further remarked that the summit’s comprehensive agenda aims to address global challenges while also showcasing positive developments. AlSharhan noted the importance of exploring how countries can utilize private sector expertise to keep up with rapid advancements, ultimately improving services delivered to citizens.
AlSharhan highlighted that the summit has established itself as the primary venue for regional and international organizations to convene, drawing participation from ministers across various key sectors. He also pointed out the robust representation of Arab nations, which is evident through numerous high-level ministerial meetings held at the summit.
