42 Abu Dhabi, the innovative coding academy located in the UAE capital, has announced the opening of applications for its upcoming coding boot camp, known as ‘Piscine’. This intensive program will begin on 3rd February and utilizes a unique peer-to-peer, gamified learning methodology. Students who successfully complete the Piscine will gain admission to the academy and become part of Generation 42 Abu Dhabi, enhancing their coding skills and contributing to the emirate’s digital transformation.
The Piscine is a demanding 25-day boot camp designed to evaluate candidates’ computer programming abilities as well as their determination and commitment. It serves as the final step in the application process for 42 Abu Dhabi’s program. Interested applicants can visit the academy’s official website to complete a pre-selection ‘Game,’ which is an online assessment that tests cognitive skills through logic and memory exercises. They must also attend an in-person Check-in discovery session to learn more about the Piscine and the academy’s learning approach.
Upon successfully passing the Piscine, candidates will join 42 Abu Dhabi’s coding program. Enrolled students will benefit from the academy’s extensive network of strategic partners, including the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Police, Mubadala, ADNOC, TotalEnergies, Thales Group, Beacon Red, Electra Abu Dhabi, and Hub71, among others.
Dr. Ahmed Al Shoaibi, Acting CEO of 42 Abu Dhabi, emphasized the academy’s commitment to equipping the next generation with advanced coding skills and a strong understanding of AI. He stated that these skills are essential for driving Abu Dhabi’s digital transformation and contributing to the emirate’s digital economy. The academy’s strategic partnerships not only enhance educational opportunities but also create direct pathways to employment and provide students with hands-on experience in real-world projects.
Students who complete 42 Abu Dhabi’s Common Core, along with four additional modules and a six-month internship, will be eligible to receive a Diploma in software development recognized by the National Qualification Centre (NQC) in the UAE. Since its inception, 42 Abu Dhabi has enrolled over 900 students, including more than 230 UAE national students, reinforcing the emirate’s efforts to establish a diverse and inclusive education system that prepares a future-ready workforce.
