Abu Dhabi Ports Group has been honored with six prestigious awards at the Harvard Business Council Global Awards 2024, held earlier this month in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This recognition highlights the group’s dedication to innovation, operational excellence, and leadership in the global trade and logistics sector.

The awards covered various categories, showcasing achievements across the organization. Among the highlights, Safeen Marine Services, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Ports, received the *Excellence in Projects Award – Diamond Category* for its Vessel Traffic Management Information System project. Additionally, Dr. Suraj Salah, the Director of Operations Improvement, was recognized with the *Functional Excellence Award – Diamond Category* for his role in implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operations.

The group’s focus on health and safety was also acknowledged, as AFCO Offshore International, another subsidiary, earned the *Excellence in Occupational Health and Safety Award – Gold Category*. Moreover, the Manpower and Emiratisation Department was awarded the *Excellence in Human Resources Award – Gold Category* for its efforts in workforce development.

In a significant nod to empowering women in the maritime sector, Tasha Sawchuk, Vice President of Strategic Development, received the *Excellence in Women Entrepreneurship Award – Gold Category*. Her contributions to strengthening women’s leadership in logistics were particularly commended. Lastly, Mohammed Al Qubaisi, Operations Manager in the Ports Sector, was recognized with the *Excellence in Career Award – Gold Category* for his role in improving port operations and cost efficiency.

Ahmed Al Khayat, Senior Vice President of Excellence Management at Abu Dhabi Ports Group, expressed pride in the recognition from Harvard Business Council. Speaking to *Al Ittihad*, he noted, “Receiving awards from such a prestigious institution motivates us to continue striving for excellence and global leadership.”
