EDGE Group, a prominent player in advanced technology and defense, has announced a collaboration with Leonardo to establish a joint venture (JV) in Abu Dhabi. This initiative aims to create a state-of-the-art technology hub in the UAE, designed to serve global markets through a unified and synergistic approach.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by Faisal Al Bannai, Chairman of EDGE Group, and Roberto Cingolani, CEO and General Manager of Leonardo, during a recent visit to Abu Dhabi. This agreement signifies a significant advancement in the partnership between EDGE and Leonardo.

The new joint venture is expected to be a landmark in global defense collaboration. It will encompass various domains and integrate advanced technologies, including Naval Command and Control systems, combat system ballistic missile defense, and counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS). Additionally, it will focus on airborne capabilities for maritime multi-mission aircraft, optronics, air defense, and high-performance computing electronics for missile applications.
