Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, the Minister of Climate Change and Environment, has confirmed that the UAE is achieving significant progress in supporting farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs to enhance sustainable food security. This advancement is largely due to the backing of the nation’s wise leadership. The inaugural Emirates Agriculture Conference and Exhibition represents a crucial step in developing a technologically advanced and innovative agricultural sector in the UAE.

The event attracted a wide range of participants, including government and private sector entities, academic and research institutions, start-ups, local farmers, and community members. It successfully showcased the latest agricultural innovations, strengthened strategic partnerships, and advanced the UAE’s vision for a secure and sustainable food future.
Dr. Al Dahak noted that the UAE’s agricultural sector and its farmers receive ongoing support from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. His Highness prioritizes empowering farmers through various programs and initiatives designed to help them enhance their farms, increase production, and improve quality and competitiveness.
With the support of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, the city of Al Ain has emerged as a crucial agricultural hub in the UAE. Its strong agricultural potential positions it to significantly boost the sector and support sustainable national food security. Al Ain is now recognized as a national model for modern agriculture and served as the ideal host for the first UAE Agricultural Conference and Exhibition.
During the closing ceremony, Dr. Al Dahak expressed her pride and gratitude for the conference and exhibition’s success, thanking all contributors to this significant national event. She highlighted the transformative power of science and hard work, noting how challenges could be turned into opportunities, and the desert transformed into a green oasis through the determination of the people of the UAE.
Dr. Al Dahak emphasized the vital role of Emirati farmers in these efforts, stating that the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment is committed to empowering them with knowledge and modern technologies. Looking ahead, she expressed confidence in continuing to strengthen partnerships, launch new initiatives, and achieve further successes that will benefit the nation.
The minister reiterated that the strategic goal is to make agriculture a key driver of sustainable and inclusive development across the Emirates. Dr. Al Dahak affirmed the ministry’s commitment to building upon the success of the inaugural event, aiming to make the Emirates Agriculture Conference and Exhibition a pivotal annual event that fosters development in the agricultural sector and strengthens collaboration among various stakeholders.
At the conclusion of the Emirates Agriculture Conference and Exhibition 2025, Dr. Al Dahak acknowledged the strategic partners and official sponsors for their significant support, which contributed to the event’s success. She extended her sincere thanks to sponsors, partners, farmers, and creative young individuals, emphasizing their essential roles in this vital sector.
The Emirates Agriculture Conference and Exhibition served as a leading platform for sharing knowledge and showcasing the latest technologies and innovations in agriculture. Its comprehensive program featured over 75 speakers participating in more than 20 talks, panel discussions, and workshops that covered all aspects of modern and sustainable agriculture.
Additionally, 22 federal and local government entities involved in the agriculture and food sector participated actively, along with over 40 private sector companies and more than 20 start-ups in agritech. The academic sector was also represented by four national universities, contributing research capabilities, and several schools engaged, involving over 1,000 students in various events and community workshops.
