For the first time, flydubai will be the only UAE airline offering nonstop flights to the Baltic capitals of Riga and Vilnius. This development addresses a longstanding connectivity gap between these vibrant regions and the Middle East. The expansion reflects a strategic effort to meet increasing travel demand while strengthening economic, cultural, and tourism links.

With these new routes, flydubai’s network will grow to encompass over 135 destinations across 58 countries, including 35 in Europe. The airline’s partnership with Emirates will enhance this expansion, as Emirates will codeshare on all four routes, providing travelers with seamless connectivity options.

Starting in September, flydubai will operate twice-weekly flights to Chisinau, Moldova’s capital, known for its economic growth and cultural vitality, and Iasi, a key Romanian center for commerce and culture. These flights will depart from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport. By December, the airline plans to introduce three weekly flights to Riga and Vilnius from Terminal 3. All flights will be serviced by flydubai’s modern Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, recognized for their fuel efficiency and passenger comfort.

This expansion is not just about adding routes; it demonstrates flydubai’s commitment to accessing underserved markets, providing business travelers, expatriates, and tourists with direct and convenient access to Dubai. By offering nonstop flights, the airline aims to reduce travel time and enhance opportunities for commerce, tourism, and cultural exchange.

flydubai has structured its fare offerings competitively to attract a range of travelers. Business class return fares to Chisinau and Iasi begin at approximately $2,178 (AED 8 000), while Economy Lite fares start at $435 (AED 1 600). For flights to Riga and Vilnius, business class fares start at $2,041 (AED 7 500), with Economy Lite tickets beginning at $490 (AED 1 800) and $598 (AED 2 200), respectively. These prices aim to strike a balance between affordability and quality service.

In addition to these year-round routes, flydubai is also planning a summer schedule that features 11 seasonal destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and the Caucasus. This summer program will launch in early June, ahead of the Eid al-Adha holiday, and will include a mix of popular returning destinations and new leisure spots.

On June 5, the airline will commence daily flights to Antalya, Turkey, a well-known Mediterranean destination celebrated for its beaches and historical significance. Following this, on June 21, flydubai will introduce daily flights to Al Alamein, Egypt, marking the first time a UAE airline will serve this emerging North Coast resort directly, thus improving access to this growing tourist destination. Both routes will operate from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport.

The summer schedule will also feature destinations such as Corfu, Dubrovnik, Mykonos, Olbia, Santorini, and Tivat, along with Turkish and Georgian coastal cities like Bodrum, Trabzon, and Batumi, all renowned for their cultural richness and scenic beauty.
